Forming a Towel Team is the simple social ritual that begins the Towel Game. If you have a towel, you become visible. You stand somewhere prominent — on the Steps, near a café entrance, or in a flow of people — and let others approach you. The towel acts as a signal: this is a point where a team can form. If you arrive with friends, you can start together. Two friends form a pair and seek a third. Three friends can immediately become a Towel Team. Four friends can split into two pairs and enter circulation, each pair seeking a third to complete a team. Once you have a partial group, you follow the Towel Remix Algorithm: - incomplete groups stay available, - pairs recruit one more person, - full triads form and move on. When your triad is complete, you are a Towel Team. You then take the towel, read the route, receive your mission, and set off on a walk-and-talk.
