Hitchhikers do not move alone for long. They form **Towel Teams**. A Towel Team is a Triad of Hitchhikers. In the early stage of the game, Hitchhikers without a complete team must find one another. They are not waiting passively for assignment. They are searching, comparing cards, asking questions, and trying to complete the triad. Once the Towel Team is formed, the team becomes a proper triad and can activate its towel.
