Eventually the Towel Team reaches a Towel Station. A Towel Station is a café, meeting place, or other gathering point where teams converge. It is a place of temporary settlement and deliberate remix. At the Towel Station, the Towel Remix Algorithm comes into play. Teams do not simply rest and continue unchanged. The station is where the game reshuffles the social field. A triad may split. A pair may join one person from another team. A full team may hand over the towel route and receive a new mission. Incomplete groupings may wait around a towel until they become complete enough to depart again. The station therefore acts as: - a waypoint. - a social mixer. - a route exchanger. - a mission relay.
