To play, you need a ticket. The ticket does not look like a normal ticket. It comes from an Improbability Drive.
The Improbability Dealer is a performer with a Deck of Cards. You approach, receive your card, and become that card for the duration of the game. You are no longer just yourself in the crowd. You are, for example, 2 of Clubs, Queen of Hearts, or Jack of Spades. The card is your identity token, your login, your clue, and sometimes your fate. Most players receive only a card. Some win something more improbable. Sometimes you win a towel.
# Ticketing and Entry The fact that the game begins with a ticket matters. A ticket means you have crossed a threshold. You are not simply present at an event. You have entered a system of improbable movement. The ticket is therefore the first small ritual of commitment. The dealer at the Improbability Drive is not just doing registration. They are initiating players into the logic of the game through the act of drawing a card.
